Grok takes wheel as Tesla splits its fleet
Tesla's Summer Update 2026.26 is rolling out to less than 1% of owners, but Austrian owner Lothar Lindinger posted the first live demo of Grok adjusting cabin temperature hands-free in German — proving the AI voice control actually works on real roads, not just release notes.
The catch: older HW3/AI3 cars with Intel Atom processors are locked out of Grok Commands, Caraoke scoring, Traction Control Modes, and the Welcome Animation.
